Biography

I started off my career in the building/remodeling business in Seattle nearly ten years ago. Early on an architect friend introduced me to the idea of using concrete to create a kitchen countertop. I was immediately intrigued. For the next few years, I experimented with various strategies with increasing success and started weaving in countertops on some of my remodel work and spec houses. The more ambitious I became with my experimentation, the more aware I became of the endless possibilities this material provides. In 2002 I leased a proper work space and went full time with my concrete business.

In the fall of 2004 my wife and I sold our house in Seattle and moved to the Columbia Gorge. We purchased an old farm house on 50 acres in Underwood, Washington just five minutes from the Hood River Bridge.

In the summer of 2005 I built a new shop space on our property. I now work primarily with clients in the Columbia Gorge and Portland, although I still occasionally travel to Seattle.
